Love Offering - What Is It?
Rachael shares her journey encounter the Lord and understanding His love offering to her, which convicted her to live it out in her community.
Part of living out love was a daily survey of asking others what a love offering looked like to them - and she found the Body of Christ operating full force in their unique and individuals giftings.
Her ministry, faith and podcast grew from that one question, showing how God shows up when you act on His word in the quiet place!
Love Offering - Your Calling as a Christian
It can be hard to love the people who hurt you. As Christians, we don’t love just out of our heart - we offer the love and the heart of Christ.
We follow the example of Jesus and say “Not my will, but yours be done” to God when we encounter people and situations where it is hard to love.
The greatest love offering we can offer is forgiveness and grace, even when someone isn’t asking for it - because Jesus offered it freely to us.
His strength and glory shines through in our weakness - when we ask Him to help us love and forgive when it’s hard.
Do not confuse boundaries with a heart posture! You can and should practice boundaries with others, just make sure your heart is in God’s hands in the process.
Love Offering - What to Do When Your Love is Low
How can you give a love offering when you feel empty?
*Tangible tip - do the opposite of what you feel like doing!* It shifts your mood, body, and mindset.
If you feel alone and lonely - REACH OUT. Depression and anxiety work to make you feel more alone and continue to isolate you. Find ways to serve and connect and love on others. Being present and giving your time and praying for people doesn't cost a thing.
Change your mindset - when you give you gain so much more.
Are you willing? This is where God meets us.
